This tutorial focuses on setting up Microsoft Outlook 2010, but these settings are similar in other versions of Microsoft Outlook.
In Microsoft Outlook, select File, Select Add account.
Select Manually Configuration Server Setting or Additional Settings, and then click Next
On the Choose Service window, select Internet E-mail, Click Next.
On the Internet E-mail Settings, enter your information as follows:
Your Name: Your first and last name.
E-mail Address: Your email address.
Account Type: POP3
Incoming mail server: vm7.studio9design.co.za
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): vm7.studio9design.co.za
User Name: enter Your email address
Password: Your email account password
Click More Settings tab
On the Internet E-mail Settings window, go to the Outgoing Server
Tick My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
On the Internet E-mail Settings window, go to the Advanced tab.
Change the POP3 port to 995
Tick This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)
Change the SMTP port to 465
Use the following type of encrypted connection….on the drop down box select SSL
On the Internet E-mail settings window Click Next
On the Test Account Settings window After the 2 Task are completed under Status, click Close
